A fully integrated & removable 48V 13Ah (624Wh) battery electric mountain bike, an all-rounder capable of taking you to places you couldn't reach with a conventional mountain bike and exploring the mountains like never before.

Thanks to its pedal-assist system you can climb slopes and cover long routes that would otherwise be impossible to undertake or, in the best of cases, would become an agonizing experience. It mounts a 6061 aluminium frame and despite being electric it is lightweight.

This electric MTB has a range of up to 120 km* and can easily achieve the regulated maximum speed of 25 km/h powered by a 250W engine. Slowing down or stopping in the dark is no problem thanks to its hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear. It is equipped with a SHIMANO ALTUS 24-speed gearbox (Shimano ALTUS RD-M310L model). Its oversize (thicker in the middle) 700mm handlebar helps to make driving more comfortable and precise, which when overcoming obstacles is aided by a front XCM fork with Suntour brand hydraulic suspension, adjustable with lockout and 120mm of travel. Its latest generation display indicates at all times which of the five levels of pedal assistance we are at and shows speed, distance travelled and battery capacity. It is also a very versatile mountain bike, since it can also be used daily in the city.

How many km can I ride my electric bike? This is the big question we ask ourselves when we want to buy an electric bicycle and the answer is complex, as it depends on many factors. The first and main factor regarding the range of a fully charged battery is the energy stored in it, which we quantify in watt hours (Wh) and we obtain by multiplying the battery volts (V) by the ampere-hours (Ah). For example, a 48V13Ah battery has an energy in full charge of 624Wh and a 36V16Ah battery has an energy of 576Wh. Once we have clear the concept of energy, we have to see the power of the motor, which is what will mark the consumption of this energy. A bicycle for legal use in the EU can have a motor with a maximum nominal power of 250W, but it does not consume the same when it works at the limit of its capacity in a rise of more than 20% (it can have peak consumptions of about 150% of its nominal power) as when we use it quietly in a place without unevenness. Once we understand this, we can also say that it is useless if the cyclist who climbs 20% does it in a low level of assistance and he exerts most of the work pedaling and the cyclist who goes for the flat site, goes with a high level of assistance and does not make any effort leaving all the work to the engine... To this factor, which is evidently key to autonomy, we can add that factors such as the weight of the cyclist, his position, his pedalling cadence and the number of times he starts and stops have less influence, since consumption peaks are caused during starts. The type of terrain (slope or flat), the surfaces (asphalt or road) and even the wind (headwind) and the type and geometry of the tyre also have consequences. For all these reasons, it is very difficult to provide accurate and reliable information on the range of the bicycle. The information we provide on the range of our products is for a 75kg person with normal bicycle use, i.e. mountain bikes with combined use of uphill and downhill roads, urban bikes with city journeys with quite a few start/stop cycles, etc. We do not advertise maximum autonomies, but real ones with tests without looking for a particularly low consumption. We have managed to obtain autonomies of more than 200km looking for maximum efficiency, but we understand that it would be dishonest to advertise them since the use of resources was not normal. We can only add that the aspect that highlights the moma electric bicycles over the competition is precisely the autonomy, 100% of professionals who have tested them have been impressed with this data, for us it is the essential in this type of vehicle and we work every day to improve it as much as possible with batteries with a lot of energy storage capacity and very efficient engines that consume the minimum possible energy.
